Author guidelines

Requirements for Submitting Materials to the Journal “Herald of the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic”

Articles accompanied by a review from a specialist (Candidate or Doctor of Sciences) should be submitted to the editorial office by email: vestnik_im_nan@mail.ru

Please prepare the article text in MS Word in English. The recommended length is at least 5 pages.

Page settings: top margin — 2 cm, bottom margin — 2 cm, right margin — 2 cm, left margin — 2 cm. Font: Times New Roman (size 14), line spacing: 1.5.

On the first page of the manuscript, the MSC classification index(es) of the narrow mathematical field(s) to which the article belongs should be indicated in the first line, for example: 53A45

Here:
53 — Differential Geometry.
53A — Classical Differential Geometry.
53A45 — Vector and Tensor Analysis.

MSC indexes can be found on the website:

Mathematics Subject Classification: https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Математическая_предметная_классификация

First, look at sections 22, 34, 35, 45, 54, 91.

The title of the article should be printed in bold uppercase letters, centered (size 14); below it, the authors’ surnames and initials should be printed in bold lowercase letters (size 12); on the next line, the place of employment should be given in italics (size 12), without abbreviations. Then leave one line and provide a short abstract of the article, as well as keywords in Kyrgyz, Russian, and English, and in the corresponding languages (size 12).

The text must be carefully checked and edited.

Figures and tables should be centered, and their size must not exceed the designated printable area. Table numbering and titles should be centered. Figures (diagrams, graphs) should be treated as a single figure (all elements of the figure/diagram/graph should be grouped together), and the title and captions should be placed below the figure (diagram/graph), centered.

Formulas must be prepared in MathType — a professional tool for typesetting formulas and equations in documents.

Note. If a formula spans several lines, it is better to type it as separate formulas, one per line. For large bracketed expressions, it is better to use automatic brackets because they will automatically adjust to a larger size.

The list of references should contain only those sources that are cited in the text, and references should be given in the text by numbers in square brackets in the order in which they are mentioned. The bibliographic details of the sources should be formatted according to GOST. The cited literature should be placed at the end of the article as a single general list. It should include: for journal articles — author, full title of the article, journal, volume, issue, year of publication, and page range; for books — author, full title, city, publisher, year of publication, and total number of pages. If the publication is in an electronic journal, add for example: Available at: http://www.vipstd.ru/gim/content/view/90/278/). (accessed 22.05.2012). If a DOI is available, add for example: DOI 10.1134/S1064562414010281

  2. Pontryagin L.S. Continuous Groups. – Moscow: Nauka, 1973. – 512 p.

After the list of references, information about the author(s) should be provided:

  • full name in the nominative case;
  • academic title, academic degree;
  • position;
  • place of work (name of the institution or organization, city/town, country name for foreign authors);
  • ORCID identifier;
  • e-mail

Such information must be provided for each co-author.

The file must be named according to the surname and initials of the author (the first author, if there are several), for example: Akhmatov_GB.doc

Articles that do not meet the above requirements may be rejected by the journal editorial board.
